Are you ready and prepared to stay ready?

In this parable, not sharing oil with those who don’t have any is NOT an example of selfishness nor a lesson in sharing. Should we help those in need and those who seek assistance? YES, and yes again!

Rather, it teaches us that like sharing our oil to sustain the fire of another, we alone must be responsible for our own faith and individual relationship with Christ.

We can encourage and inspire others (and we should!!) but when it comes to preparedness, that is a question only each heart can answer. 

Are you ready, AND willing to wait for God, even when you don’t know how long you’ll be waiting?
