SERMON NOTES

You are beyond redemption. (LIE)

You're fine as you are. It's not a big deal. (LIE)

You're doing more good than harm so it all evens out. (LIE)

Our helmet protects us from the enemies lies - the awful seeds planted in our heads, most often one of the above.

On a rudimentary level...

guilt = feeling bad for what you did

shame = feeling bad for who you are

You may carry both but in the completed work of Jesus Christ, there is no condemnation and also nothing you could do to earn salvation. Living in His faith you are forgiven.

Continue to seek Truth and be transformed by a renewing of the mind. Cultivating your relationship with Jesus and understanding His word in our world and your own life will bring you salvation, freedom from peril, with The One who is greater than all things.
